Rhythm Heaven Review
Tap to the rhythm with Rhythm heaven! First released for the Nintendo DS during the year 2008 for Japan, and later in 2009 for the U.S and Europe, Rhythm Heaven brings a whole new aspect in musical gaming. The game consists of catchy beats, which gives the game a good complexion and feeling.
Rhythm Heaven is a rhythm based game, which makes the user use the Nintendo DS stylus in order to conduct simple movements for tasks that are presented in the game. Overall, Rhythm Heaven includes 24 rhythm games; each game consists of musical tasks that range from ease to difficulty depending on how far you get through the game. At the end of each level, there is a final remix game which features a whole different song. After completing a game, you are given one of four ranks which include; SUPERB, JUST OK, OK, and TRY AGAIN. If you do well in each game you will receive a medal which will accommodate additional mini-games.
The controls are simple in this game, you are only required to use a stylus in order to actually finish or proceed on with the game. The user simply uses the stylus to either flick at the screen, tap, and tap & hold down on the touch screen. The game includes tutorials in order to figure out how to perform a specific beat or note. Some mini-games in Rhythm Heaven require the player to only tap along to a specific rhythm while other mini-games force you to hold down your stylus for a lengthier note. Not all the mini-games are going to be easy, the game is well known for its difficulty as you proceed on to trying to finish it, some of the tasks in the game are almost impossible without total concentration.
The visuals in the game are quite unique and colorful. Each mini-game in Rhythm Heaven is consisted of different kinds of music that are quite amusing at times. Each mini-game has a weird kind of scene with weird characters, and well . . . everything seems awkward in this game, but that's what makes this game unique.
The music in the game is absolutely amazing. I love the beats and sounds that are presented in each mini-game, and the many awkward looking characters that make this game unique and different from other musically based games.
Overall, the game is pretty good, it contains great music that most of us might love, funny looking characters and animations, and a whole lot of beats and notes to do in each mini-game. I highly recommend trying out this game if you haven't.
