Metriod Prime Hunters Review

Intro

First introduced to the Nintendo DS, Metroid Prime Hunters had brought a new platform to its game series, having the ability to use a rumble pack as well as the ability to use a stylus in the game acting as Samus's arm and a countless amount of features included in the game.

Review

The game was developed as a first person adventure game developed by the NST (Nintendo Software Technology). The game allows the player to use the stylus in order to navigate through places by foot (and or Morph ball) and blast enemies as well as checking status and so forth.

The game has many modes consisted in the game such as the Multiplayer mode which allows you to play with players across the world using Nintendo Wi-Fi connection as well as local player mode where you play against friends who also have the game, you may also transmit the game to others who don't have it and play the game with them as well. The problem with playing over Wi-Fi connection is that the gameplay is lagged a bit where players might experience others shooting at them in slow motion which I've noticed when I had first played the game. There are also hard times where you are about to use blasts on each other but having to shoot the enemy quickly is a hassle especially since using the stylus, the characters arm flails around, trying to attack its target. The local mode is quite fine, although if you don't have the game you are stuck with playing as Samus instead of a variety of other characters (specifically bosses) that are available to players who have the game, but the concept of that makes sense.

Now, single player mode allows the player to go through an adventure consisted of bosses and enemies alike. You must use weapons and abilities given to you in each area. You play as Samus in a first person shooter adventure game, and your job is to defeat each boss with a limited amount of time to evacuate out of a boss area. The single player mode is quite astounding when it comes to using the stylus to blast enemies and so forth.

The graphics are quite pixely like, but at the same time vibrant and outstanding compared to other games of that time (2006).
