Review
The games single player mode starts off with the main character trys to enter Monster Scouting Tournament, later to be found jailed for having to enter without permission. The game starts out with the tournament being postponed leaving you to head out to infant isle in order to take your scouts pledge by doing a series of missions that are commanded by an old man, your job is to scout any monsters he presents you with. The weird thing about the game is that when you arrive at infant isle theres already a monster at an extremely high level which kind of surprised me as I played through the game.
Now lets talk about the gameplay. While you play through single player mode you are able to get a team of 3 or more monsters, you are given 3 to choose from. The unique part of the game is that the game is consisted of Monster families; each monster is branched from a family which is consisted of; Dragon, Nature, Beast, Slime, Demon, Material, Incarnii, and the undead. You will encounter many of these monster in various islands presented in the game. The game is displayed in 3D, not 3D-3D, but just 3D by the look of it when playing. The battling system is displayed in 3D with cameras circling around the battle field which is very unique.
The controls of the game are easy to use and there are some difficulties with navigations in specific maps. The only thing that I don’t like about the game is the way the main character runs, the problem with this is that there is no option where you can actually run faster which is quite disappointing to me, although the game would be fast paced if you had this capability within the game.
Maps are quite pixely and sometimes a little too pixely if you enter random islands and view certain areas. Though viewing areas beneath maps such as looking down over valley and such are quite vibrant and well made.
Overall
