Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Review
Into
Pokemon Diamond and Pearl have the same concept of all the other Pokemon games, simply you start out in your home town and you strive to become a Pokemon master. The game has a new set of Pokemon as well as new towns and cities across the region of Sinnoh.
Story
The story is quite simple, but interesting as well, you start off by picking a starter Pokemon (Turtwig, Piplup, and Chimchar) then you continue on through your journey, soon finding out an evil organization of grunt's called, "Team Galactic". The story is mostly wrapped around stopping the Team Galactic and their leader, "Cyrus" who want's to obtain Diagla and Palkia as well as Uxie, Mesprit and Azelf.
Gameplay
The game has great features for the DS including the touch screen compatibility, this compatibility is wonderful because you can battle both using the touch screen and of course your usual A,B X, Y buttons as well. There is a new set of attacks in the game such as Aurora sphere, an attack most familiar with Lucario. The game has a wifi compatibility as well, You can play with local people (around you and the area you live in) or you can choose to play people around the world. Sadly you can't play in a way where you don't really need to ad a friend code, but that's fine. Referring back to the touch screen you have a set of screen options such as "Items", these allow you to show off or use key things such as Pokeballs and things that increase your attack rate, or defense. The touch screen compatibility is a great feature as well as the wifi compatibility.
Graphics and appearance
The city’s and towns where made beautifully, the scenery has caught my attention as well. The placement of buildings and the GTS has added a boost to the liking of the game.
Overall
This game, as for the rest of the Pokemon game series, is very enjoyable and fun, the wifi features are great, and the battling followed by the touch screen compatibility add some excitement in the game.
- Gameplay: 10/10
