Animal Crossing City Folk

Animal Crossing city folk, first introduced to the wii was a hit, with new features and new characters to be seen. The game displays an array of brand new characters as well as familiar characters from previous Animal Crossing games like Tom Nook and the Able sisters. The game starts off with you talking to a mystery-cat, who tells you that he is quite familiar with you, but needs you to tell him you name to clarify that. After choosing your name and your gender, you are given the ability to name your city. Afterwords, you are sent to your city and are shown your house and you are also able to look over your town to see your villagers. Next, you discover that your house is dirty and quite non-spacious so what do you do? You gain money to pay for your bill's to aquire a bigger home (i.e remodeling). To go through this process you have to meet a guy named Tom nook, who is the owner of Nooks. He will give you a job of doing erands for him so that you may gain money to pay for bills, buy stuff, etc.

The controls for the wii for playing this game are quite simple but can get annoying at times, like the bar that shows up when you hover or try to walk somewhere, which is a pet-peeve for me, but I don't know about you guys. You can move by moving your wii-mote in directions that you want to go, and there will be a cursur that shows where your going. You can talk to villagers using the "A" button as well as pick up items, pick a spot to dig up treasure, or even (not that I really remember but..) smash into trees to get an unfortunate stinging by bee's. The game does have a wifi compalibility which allows you and your freind to interact in each other's cities as well as trade items, take fruits that are not seen in your city or just enjoy contests conducted by Mayor Tortimor. There are tons of things to do in this game which is a good thing for any game.

Now to talk about some interesting features. The most greatest feature in the game is that you can actually leave your town to go to the "city" which is like a total mall where you can buy lot's of unique items, change your hair, etc.. In my opinion that was the most greatest feature that I've seen while playing this game. Now to talk about villagers; There is a whole set of new villagers that inhabit your town, most are commonly seen in Animal Crossing Wild World and later games. The most coolest part of the game, but quite the depressing side of the game is that your villagers have the ability to leave your town and head off to other towns (i.e someplaces else or your freinds town). The villagers also have some emotion, and feelings towards you and other villagers in the game so it's not like your the only one talking to them all the time.

Overall the game has some great features, such as the city, new villagers, and new events as well as it being on the wii. The only thing that I really don't like is the mini bar that shows up when you hover over things but that's ok...with me...I also don't like how villagers leave especially when you are about to be given a present and such. the game has lot's of ups and not that many downs, a very enjoyable videogame indeed. I recommend it!
